SDCLEF - Raising Money For Good Causes

San Diego County law Enforcement Foundation

We finally have our website up and running! Currently the site provides general information about the foundation, as well as providing online access to our newsletter. SDCLEF.com will continue to be expanded offering information on upcoming special events, board and foundation activities and much more!

Statement of Purpose

The San Diego County Law Enforcement Foundation is a nonprofit 501(C) (3) Corporation, composed of community members dedicated to providing financial support to the San Diego County's Sheriff and Police Departments. Financial support is distributed in the forms of Equipment Grants, Continuing Education Scholarships, Family Assistance Fund for families of officers killed in the line of duty and other programs as deemed worthy by the Foundation.

Benefits

SDCLEF members benefit by working with others in pursuit of the common goal to support local law enforcement. The SDCLEF is an all volunteer organization, with no paid employees, therefore 100% of all funds raised are available for distribution to local law enforcement agencies that serve San Diego County. Members receive a wallet and identification readily identifying them as a SDCLEF member. Members receive periodical newsletters and mailings supplying updates on SDCLEF'S activities involving local law enforcement agencies.

Activities

The SDCLEF holds it's major fund raising event each year in the fall. The event consist of an auction, dinner and dance/entertainment. In addition to SDCLEF members, the event is attended by non-members as well as law enforcement officers from local agencies throughout the county.

Other entertaining and interesting fund raising events are held throughout the year e.g. tours of the County jail Facility, tours of the Regional Training Academy (where local officers and deputies receive their law enforcement training), San Diego County Medical Examiners facility, tours of local Police Departments. These events allow members and their guest to experience an up close and educational view of our local law enforcement system.

Thanks

The SDCLEF want to thank Adam Watson, Stefan Jensen and Mike Esani of Transare (www.transare.com) for donating their time and talent to the creation and maintenence of the site. We would also like to thank SDCLEF members Selene and Tom Baden for obtaining the donated services of Transare.
